NEWSLETTER MAY 2013

Maranatha Newsletter

What Do You See ?

Click here to download May NewsletterThis was God’s question to Old Testament Prophets as He gave them foresight and insight into what He was doing. God speaks to His people, through what is visible, about the realities of the heavenly realms. The ultimate example is His revelation of Himself in the person of Jesus Christ. As the writer to the Hebrews wrote, “In the past God spoke…through the prophets…but in these last days He has spoken by His Son…the Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being…” (Heb. 1.1-3)

Central to Jesus’ ministry was the giving of sight to the blind.
The May edition of the Maranatha Community Newsletter
which is available for you to read on-screen (or print for your convenience) further expands this, gives news of initiatives being taken by the Community, has a complete list of local groups and an article about prayer.

NEWSLETTER JANUARY 2013

Maranatha Newsletter

The Big Question –

What on Earth are we Doing to our Children ?

Click here to download January NewsletterThe message of this new book, launched by the Maranatha Community in December, is a direct challenge to the conscience of our nation. Since the Community produced ‘What on earth are we doing to our children?’ in 1995, countless initiatives and billions of pounds have been targeted at children and young people. However, the evidence presented in this book clearly shows that their situation is now worse. The political and lifestyle choices made by us in the UK, over the last 50 years, have created a legacy of catastrophic debt for future generations. More seriously, vast numbers of children and young people are growing up without any sense of identity or purpose.

The January edition of the Maranatha Community Newsletter which is available for you to read on-screen (or print for your convenience) gives more information from this new book which is available from the online bookshop for only £5 and FREE P&P until the end of January, and reminds us of God’s word on children as well as giving lots of community news.

NEWSLETTER SEPTEMBER 2012

Maranatha Newsletter

Do you know what to do?

Click here to download September NewsletterCenturies before the Church came into being, King Jehoshaphat prayed to the Lord, “We do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon you.” (2 Chron. 20.12) but, in truth, he KNEW what to do! His prayer is a model for us, the Church today.

At times of crisis and catastrophe people look for someone who knows what to do. As we face great uncertainty and the looming collapse of many facets of our national life, there is a great opportunity for the Church in this nation to lead the way. As many search for solutions to huge social and infrastructural problems, we can confidently proclaim WE KNOW WHAT TO DO! Our message is that of the prophet Isaiah…

The September edition of the Maranatha Community Newsletter which is available for you to read on-screen (or print for your convenience) further expands this, give news of initiatives being taken by the Community, has a complete list of local groups and an article on “Moving Together as the Body of Christ”.

NEWSLETTER JUNE 2012

Maranatha Newsletter

Faith for a bigger vision.

Click here to download June NewsletterThe Kingdom vision that God gives is immense and totally unattainable to human eyes. Jesus says “No one can see the Kingdom of God unless he is born again” (Jn. 3.3).

A subtle deception has permeated many parts of the Western Church. So often the vision for establishing God’s Kingdom is limited to what is ‘achievable’ with available or easily obtainable resources. In truth, what is required for the realisation of the vision the Lord sets before us, is faith in the
hearts of His people who will dare to believe that to God all things are possible.

The June edition of the Maranatha Community Newsletter which is available for you to read on-screen (or print for your convenience) further expands this, give news of initiatives being taken by the Community, has a complete list of local groups and an article on “God’s Call to rest”.

Gathering in Northern Ireland July 2012

One Lord, One People.

Saturday 14th July 2012, 2pm-4.30pm, St. MacNissi’s Parish Centre, Station Road, RANDALSTOWN

We will be having a shared lunch together at 12.30pm. Please bring some food.  Drinks will be provided.

At the Maranatha Gathering in Randalstown this March those present were excited to hear the Lord speak about an open door of opportunity.  We were challenged by his urge to embrace new relationships and to recognise that the Lord is calling His people to choose His way of unity, renewal and healing.

This half-day Maranatha gathering is an opportunity to go further on our journey together with the Lord.

ALL ARE WELCOME

to come and enjoy fellowship, teaching, praise and healing with brothers and sisters in the family of God.
